Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were beautifully furnished and very comfortable, with thoughtful amenities like tea, coffee, and even a packet of Rolo chocolates. While the decor could use a bit of updating, it provided a lovely traditional experience, especially with the cozy King size four-poster bed. The service was exceptional, with friendly and cheerful staff making my stay truly enjoyable. The location was ideal for my needs, within walking distance of Roslin Chapel and with easy access to Edinburgh. The dining experience was fabulous, although I missed having baked beans as part of the meal. Overall, a great value for the money.
The hotel is full of character and history, ideal for visiting Rosslyn Chapel. The rooms, though a little on the small side, were quite adequate but felt very old fashioned. The service was excellent, especially accommodating our late arrival and room change. The location, despite being close to the noisy main street, is conveniently situated next to a bus stop for easy access to attractions. The dining, though typically Scottish, lacked hot beverages at breakfast and was missing baked beans. Overall, a great option for those exploring the area.
The hotel is set in a great location, offering convenience for exploration and visits to local attractions. The rooms are comfortable but a bit noisy due to nearby road traffic. The service was exceptional with helpful and welcoming staff. A mix of positives and negatives to consider.
